How do you get into a relationship during COVID-19?
Dear Heartbreak Clinic, I got out of a relationship a few months ago, and I want to meet someone new. I don't know-how. I don't want to use a dating app because I don't want to be catfished, and I'm introverted and don't know how to talk to people. COVID-19 makes everything harder. Advice?
Most people have flocked to dating apps because of the pandemic, which is a good and bad thing. Good because it means more people on the apps, but bad because many people are simply bored and have no intention of meeting or having an actual relationship.
Dating apps during covid have become an introvert's dream. Take some time to chat via text to become comfortable with the people. Then move to FaceTime or a Zoom meeting. If all goes well, you can plan a time to meet them in person if you feel comfortable with them. It takes so much of the pressure off.
Most important, as you explore dating, continue working on becoming the best version of yourself.
